April 15, 2008
I just got my monthly newsletter and was greeted by the happy news that Dogfish Head beer going to be distributed in CA on a limited basis!! And, their Palo Santo Marron, an extra strong brown ale (12% ABV!) aged in special South American wood, is one of the beers that is making it here!!! Check out this map for locations of distributors.

Oh hell yes. And they’re celebrating by hosting a beer & cheese shindig at Toronado next Monday entitled “Olde Beer and Moldy Cheese.” Oh hell yes. Even if he weren’t a hunky jeans model, I’d *still* kiss Sam Calagione for making this happen (and would like to pretend that’s why he and Vinnie did it).

Oh man, I wish I could go but I RSVP’d for the Allagash Meet the Brewer beer tasting at the Trappist that night, which I’d normally be very excited about. Maybe I can get out of it…

Another beer that’s headed to California soon is the line of Oskar Blues craft beers in a can from Lyons, Colorado. Dale’s Pale Ale, Old Chub, Ten Fidy and Gordon’s are their main shippers. Look for them very soon.
