Drake’s Night at Toronado tomorrow
June 17, 2008
This is just a quick FYI that my beertinerary has expanded to include a Brewer’s Night at Toronado tomorrow.
Starting at 6:00pm on Wednesday, 6/18, Toronado is serving four special release Drake’s beers, plus some of the brewery’s regular brews.
Special releases: All being served tomorrow, the information below is all I have on what types of beers these are.
- Biere Speciale: Aged 2 years with Trappist yeast
- Brettamber:Aged 2 years in Merlot Oak with Brettanomyces
- Batch 2000: Drake’s 2000th batch, a Belgian style triple
- Blend: a blend of the Brettamber and Batch 2000
Regular brews: Some of these will be served, not clear yet which ones.
- Amber Ale: “Brewed with English malt, hops and yeast. The extra malt lends a lightly toasted, chocolate flavour, a tawny colour, and a smooth, rich character.”
- Blonde Ale: “This Kolsch-style ale is brewed with a gentle addition of Noble hops, presenting a pleasant herbal and spicy aroma, and then cold conditioned for a clean finish.”
- India Pale Ale: “Brewed with extra hops and malt in the English tradition, but with West Coast style. This deep golden India Pale Ale is artfully balanced with a fresh, powerful aroma and a luscious finish.”
- Hefeweizen: “We leave the yeast in our authentic Bavarian-style wheat beer to give it a cloudy appearance and creamy texture. This spicy, fruity beer has hints of clove and banana and is crafted for easy drinking.”
